The only traffic at the moment should be those following the link from my final gig guide email, so welcome gig guide readers! I’m afraid there’s not much here, but I’ll be working on it. Pretty soon there should be lots more links (if any of you have a blog let me know and I’ll link to it). Actually, I note that the passing of the gig guide has already been observed on the blogosphere (not sure how to link to post, so scroll down to Dec 15).
Still working on the overall appearance … design is not my strong point. Neither are stylesheets.
Why a blog? Well apart from trying to help out with the desperate worldwide shortage of blogs, I’ve been reading blogs more & more and have been feeling left out, so time to get involved – enough with the lurking. Also, I want to write about more than just music and the gig guide was not really the forum for that.
So, I encourage you to bookmark and keep checking back because you can still find out about all the best Adelaide gigs here, but maybe some other stuff of interest as well.
Of course I should throw in a thanks to Mr Frogworth for hosting, and for providing assistance in getting this thing set up. Also for lots of great music advice.
Hi Stu,
You’re welcome! Can’t wait to see what you get going with this 🙂
One thing – in the comments form, the explanations of the fields are still white-on-white, which makes it hard to know where to put our name or email addy *heh* But it’s looking great!
Thanks Peter, as you can see it’s fixed.
Hi Stu and welcome to the blogocyberinternetospherespace!
I’m sure it will all be a seemless transition, I’ve already added your blog’s RSS feed to my reader. It’ll just be like your gig emails only webbier.
Thanks for all the gig guides, Stu, but I’m sure Derek (and possibly Karl) is just as keen as I to find out who came second in the great stu-music quiz 😉
How about an investigation into this year’s Womad lineup to compensate for [gigs] withdrawal symptoms (though we’ve all had a bit of a chance to latch onto some other passing fad over the past couple of months – I myself am into Alf pogs these days).
I’m not going to go back and tally up the results, but I reckon it must be pretty close for second place between The Don & Derek. I believe Karl had the distinction of the first ever 10/10 (on the SST quiz) … well as long as you don’t count the time that Pony just googled the answers.
